Joel D. Thompson, MD

Dr. Thompson has been a practicing orthopedic surgeon for over 20 years here in Tucson. Specializing in the upper extremities, Dr. Thompson believes his responsibilities to his patients involve honestly listening to their complaints, giving them a thorough evaluation of their problems, explaining the various treatment options for their issue in terms they can understand including the risks and benefits of each option, and then assisting them in making the best decision. He believes that the doctor-patient relationship requires a team approach knowing full well that his patients are the individuals who undergo the risk of any surgical procedure.
